Q: Why do I need MEP drawings — can’t the plumber and electrician just work from the architectural plans?
A: Architectural drawings show room layouts and finishes — they do not specify pipe sizes, cable ratings, circuit arrangements, or drainage gradients. A plumber or electrician working without MEP drawings makes critical engineering decisions on site, without calculation, and with no permanent record of what was installed or where. This is how most plumbing and electrical problems in Pakistani buildings originate. MEP drawings eliminate the guesswork and provide a record every future owner and maintenance team needs.
Q: When should plumbing and electrical work start during construction?
A: Rough-in work — all concealed conduit, pipe runs, and drainage — must be completed before plastering begins. This means MEP installation starts once the structural frame is complete and before any finishing trades arrive. Starting late is one of the most common causes of buried services being in the wrong position. We sequence our work correctly by default.
Q: Do you install the electrical board and all wiring, or only the rough-in?
A: We handle the complete electrical installation from start to finish: conduit and rough-in, full wiring, distribution board supply and installation, earthing, all fittings and switches, and final commissioning and testing. You do not need a separate contractor for any part of the electrical works.
Q: What is the difference between PPRC and UPVC pipes — which do you use?
A: UPVC is used for cold water supply lines and drainage. PPRC (polypropylene random copolymer) is used for hot water supply lines, as it withstands sustained water temperatures without deforming. We use the correct pipe material for each application — not the cheapest available option for everything.
Q: Can you integrate a solar panel system and inverter with the building’s electrical supply?
A: Yes. We design and install the complete electrical integration — solar panels, inverter, battery bank, changeover arrangements, and all protection equipment — correctly connected to the building’s distribution board. The integration is designed as part of the electrical system, not added on afterwards.
Q: Do you test the plumbing and electrical before the walls are finished?
A: Yes — and this is mandatory on every project we undertake. All pipe runs are pressure-tested for leaks and all electrical circuits are tested for continuity, insulation resistance, and correct earthing before any surface is closed. A: Yes. We undertake MEP upgrades in existing buildings — rewiring, distribution board replacement, pipe replacement, drainage remediation, and complete system upgrades.
